PURPOSE: We introduce selective internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling, a guideline procedure to determine whether to remove the ILM during vitrectomy for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective case series METHODS: Patients who underwent pars plana vitrectomy for RRD and were followed up for 12 months or longer were included. When vitreous cortex remnants (VCRs) were detected with triamcinolone acetonide, the ILM was removed; otherwise, the ILM was preserved ("selective ILM peeling"). The factors associated with the presence of VCRs and incidence of secondary epiretinal membrane (ERM) were analyzed. RESULTS: VCRs were detected in 87 of 133 eyes (65.4%) in which the ILM was removed. Younger age, better preoperative visual acuity, and vitreous hemorrhage were negatively correlated with the presence of VCRs. No ERM occurred in the eyes after ILM peeling. Among the eyes with ILM preservation, subclinical ERM was noticed in 4 eyes (8.7%), and 1 eye (2.1%) required additional surgery owing to ERM. ERM occurred more commonly in eyes with the ILM preserved (P = .004). However, no differences in the rate of additional surgeries were found between the 2 groups. CONCLUSION: Selective ILM peeling offers an alternative option to reduce the burden of ILM peeling or additional surgery.

Background: Patient satisfaction remains a key area of interest worldwide; utilizing a patient-centered communication approach, particularly with patients with chronic life-limiting illnesses may be one way to achieve this. However, there is a dearth of empirical information on the effect of patient-centered communication strategies in patients with chronic life-limiting illnesses in Kenya on patient satisfaction. Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the impact of patient-centered communication on patient satisfaction. Methods: We conducted our study at a tertiary teaching and referral hospital in Kenya. We utilized a quasi-experimental pre-test post-test study design and engaged 301 adult medical in-patients with chronic life limiting conditions. We randomized them to receive patient-centered communication, and evaluated the change in patient satisfaction scores using an adapted Medical Interview satisfaction Scale 21 (MISS 21). Results: Two hundred and seventy-eight out of 301 recruited participants completed the study. The baseline characteristics of the participants randomized to the control and intervention arms were similar. Although both the control and intervention arms had a decline in the mean difference scores, the intervention arm recorded a larger decline, -15.04 (-20.6, -9.47) compared to -7.87 (-13.63, -2.12), with a statistically significant mean difference between the two groups at -7.16 (-9.67, -4.46). Participants in the intervention arm were less likely to: understand the cause of their illness (p < 0.001), understand aspects of their illness (p < 0.001), understand the management plan (p < 0.001), receive all the relevant information on their health (p < 0.001), and to receive adequate self-care information (p < 0.001). They were also less likely to acknowledge a good interpersonal relationship with the healthcare providers (p < 0.001), to feel comfortable discussing private issues (p < 0.004), and to feel that the consultation time was adequate (p < 0.001). Conclusion and recommendation: Contrary to expectation, patient-centered communication did not result in improved patient satisfaction scores. Further studies can evaluate factors affecting and explaining this relationship and assess intermediate and long-term effects of provision of a patient-centered communication in diverse global contexts.

BACKGROUND: Pediatric palliative care (PPC) seeks to enhance the quality of life (QoL) for both children and their families. While most studies within PPC have focused on the ill child's QoL, less is known about parents' experiences of their own QoL. The aim of this study was to explore parents' QoL when their child has a life-threatening or life-limiting condition. METHODS: The study has a qualitative, hermeneutic phenomenological design inspired by van Manen's phenomenology of practice. In-depth interviews were conducted with 12 fathers and 12 mothers of children living with cancer or a genetic condition. A deeper understanding of parents' lived experiences was obtained through an adapted photo elicitation method. Two rounds of thematic analysis were conducted, covering both the photo elicitation data, and interview data. RESULTS: The findings describe four themes related to parents' QoL: living a normal life, giving my child a good life, having time to fulfill siblings' needs, and feeling heard and respected in the health and social care system. CONCLUSIONS: The complexity of elements shaping parents' QoL is evident. The interconnectedness between parents, the ill child, siblings, and interactions with the health and social care system, highlights the need to understand and address diverse aspects in enhancing parents QoL.

In our earlier works, we have shown that the rate-limiting steps, associated with the dark-to-light transition of Photosystem II (PSII), reflecting the photochemical activity and structural dynamics of the reaction center complex, depend largely on the lipidic environment of the protein matrix. Using chlorophyll-a fluorescence transients (ChlF) elicited by single-turnover saturating flashes, it was shown that the half-waiting time (Δτ 1/2) between consecutive excitations, at which 50% of the fluorescence increment was reached, was considerably larger in isolated PSII complexes of Thermostichus (T.) vulcanus than in the native thylakoid membrane (TM). Further, it was shown that the addition of a TM lipid extract shortened Δτ 1/2 of isolated PSII, indicating that at least a fraction of the 'missing' lipid molecules, replaced by detergent molecules, caused the elongation of Δτ 1/2. Here, we performed systematic experiments to obtain information on the nature of TM lipids that are capable of decreasing Δτ 1/2. Our data show that while all lipid species shorten Δτ 1/2, the negatively charged lipid phosphatidylglycerol appears to be the most efficient species - suggesting its prominent role in determining the structural dynamics of PSII reaction center.

Revealing low-dimensional material growth dynamics is critical for crystal growth engineering. However, in a practical high-temperature growth system, the crystal growth process is a black box because of the lack of heat-resistant imaging tools. Here, we develop a heat-resistant optical microscope and embed it in a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) system to investigate two-dimensional (2D) crystal growth dynamics. This in situ optical imaging CVD system can tolerate temperatures of ≤900 °C with a spatial resolution of ∼1 µm. The growth of monolayer MoS2 crystals was studied as a model for 2D crystal growth. The nucleation and growth process have been imaged. Model analysis and simulation have revealed the growth rate, diffusion coefficient, and spatial distribution of the precursor. More importantly, a new vertex-kink-ledge model has been suggested for monolayer crystal growth. This work provides a new technique for in situ microscopic imaging at high temperatures and fundamental insight into 2D crystal growth.

Introduction: Post-vitrectomy cystoid macular edema (CME) can lead to failure of macular hole (MH) closure. We report 2 cases of failure of MH closure due to post-vitrectomy CME, which were successfully treated using sub-Tenon triamcinolone acetonide (STTA) injection. Case Presentations: Case 1 involved a 72-year-old male patient with a Gass Stage 3 MH in the right eye. He underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV), internal limiting membrane translocation, and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas injection with cataract surgery in his right eye. The MH did not close postoperatively; further, CME developed at the edge of the MH. Accordingly, the patient underwent an STTA injection. Approximately 2 weeks after the STTA injection, the CME disappeared and the MH closed, which has remained closed 1 year after PPV. Case 2 involved a 78-year-old female patient with Gass Stage 3 MH in the left eye. The patient underwent the same surgical procedure as that performed in case 1. Further, she presented with failure of MH closure caused by CME; therefore, an STTA injection was performed. Approximately 6 weeks after STTA injection, the CME disappeared and the MH closed; further, there was maintained improvement of best-corrected visual acuity for 6 months. Conclusions: STTA injection could be considered before reoperation in cases involving failure of MH closure due to postoperative CME.

BACKGROUND: Delivering intensive care therapies concordant with patients' values and preferences is considered gold standard care. To achieve this, healthcare professionals must better understand decision-making processes and factors influencing them. AIM: The aim of this study was to explore factors influencing decision-making processes about implementing and limiting intensive care therapies. DESIGN: Systematic integrative review, synthesising quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods studies. METHODS: Five databases were searched (Medline, The Cochrane central register of controlled trials, Embase, PsycINFO, and CINAHL plus) for peer-reviewed, primary research published in English from 2010 to Oct 2022. Quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods studies focussing on intensive care decision-making were included for appraisal. Full-text review and quality screening included the Critical Appraisal Skills Program tool for qualitative and mixed methods and the Medical Education Research Quality Instrument for quantitative studies. Papers were reviewed by two authors independently, and a third author resolved disagreements. The primary author developed a thematic coding framework and performed coding and pattern identification using NVivo, with regular group discussions. RESULTS: Of the 83 studies, 44 were qualitative, 32 quantitative, and seven mixed-methods studies. Seven key themes were identified: what the decision is about; who is making the decision; characteristics of the decision-maker; factors influencing medical prognostication; clinician-patient/surrogate communication; factors affecting decisional concordance; and how interactions affect decisional concordance. Substantial thematic overlaps existed. The most reported decision was whether to withhold therapies, and the most common decision-maker was the clinician. Whether a treatment recommendation was concordant was influenced by multiple factors including institutional cultures and clinician continuity. CONCLUSION: Decision-making relating to intensive care unit therapy goals is complicated. The current review identifies that breadth of decision-makers, and the complexity of intersecting factors has not previously been incorporated into interventions or considered within a single review. Its findings provide a basis for future research and training to improve decisional concordance between clinicians and patients/surrogates with regards to intensive care unit therapies.

Persistent transcription of HBV covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA) is critical for chronic HBV infection. Silencing cccDNA transcription through epigenetic mechanisms offers an effective strategy to control HBV. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), as important epigenetic regulators, have an unclear role in cccDNA transcription regulation. In this study, lncRNA sequencing (lncRNA seq) is conducted on five pairs of HBV-positive and HBV-negative liver tissue. Through analysis, HOXA-AS2 (HOXA cluster antisense RNA 2) is identified as a significantly upregulated lncRNA in HBV-infected livers. Further experiments demonstrate that HBV DNA polymerase (DNA pol) induces HOXA-AS2 after establishing persistent high-level HBV replication. Functional studies reveal that HOXA-AS2 physically binds to cccDNA and significantly inhibits its transcription. Mechanistically, HOXA-AS2 recruits the MTA1-HDAC1/2 deacetylase complex to cccDNA minichromosome by physically interacting with metastasis associated 1 (MTA1) subunit, resulting in reduced acetylation of histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9ac) and lysine 27 (H3K27ac) associated with cccDNA and subsequently suppressing cccDNA transcription. Altogether, the study reveals a mechanism to self-limit HBV replication, wherein the upregulation of lncRNA HOXA-AS2, induced by HBV DNA pol, can epigenetically suppress cccDNA transcription.

BACKGROUND: For families with children diagnosed with complex illnesses, the COVID-19 pandemic added many challenges. In order to mitigate inevitable disruptions in pediatric care settings, caregivers may need added supports and resources. The Keeping Hope Possible (KHP) Toolkit is a self-administered intervention intended to enhance caregiving experiences of parents with a child with multiple needs. However, little is known about effectively disseminating the Toolkit. PURPOSE AND METHODS: A qualitative, thematic analysis was conducted to explore the opinions and perceptions of pediatric nurses and allied healthcare providers (HCPs) in relation to the dissemination and use of the KHP Toolkit for use by families with complex medical needs. Structured interview data were analyzed from a sample of seven pediatric HCPs working in various care settings in one Canadian province. FINDINGS: Five themes were developed including: Recognising Importance of the KHP Toolkit; Needing Support and Direction; Implementation and Use of the KHP Toolkit; Realizing Important Considerations for Success; and, Emphasizing Connection through Isolated Times. DISCUSSION: Participants recognized the importance of the KHP Toolkit for parents and extended family in a variety of settings to encourage self-care, daily structure, and connectedness. Thus, pediatric nurses' awareness and openness to the initial dissemination of the Toolkit is essential, and a subsequent interprofessional team approach will ensure consistent reminders and support for families. APPLICATION TO PRACTICE: Careful assessment of family readiness for learning about and using the KHP Toolkit is essential, along with an interprofessional approach to consistent inquiry and support at each family encounter.

The latitudinal diversity gradient (LDG) hypothesis has been validated for many taxon groups, but so far, stream diatoms have not conformed to this pattern. Research on diatoms that includes data from South America is lacking, and our study aims to address this knowledge gap. Previous studies have successfully explained stream diatom species richness by considering niche dimensionality of physicochemical variables. Moreover, in southwestern South America, the observed biogeographical pattern differs from LDG and has been shown to be determined by historical factors. We used a dataset comprising 373 records of stream diatom communities located between 35° S and 52° S latitude, southwestern South America. The dataset included physicochemical river water variables, climate data, and ice sheet cover from the Last Glacial Maximum. We explored geographical patterns of diatom species richness and evaluated 12 different causal mechanisms, including climate-related theories, physicochemical and climatical exploratory analyses, historical factors, and niche dimensionality. A metacommunity analysis was conducted to evaluate the possible nested structure due to historical factors. We observed an increase in diatom species richness from south to north. Models containing both physicochemical and climatic predictors explained the highest proportion of variation in the data. Silica, which was correlated with latitude, and flow velocity, which did not show any spatial pattern, were the most important predictors. Historical factors and nested structure did not play any role. Contrary to what has been reported in the literature, we found no support for climate-related explanations of species richness. Instead, theories related to niche dimensionality and local factors provided better explanations, consistent with previous related research. We suggest that the increase in diatom richness in the north of our study region is due to a higher nutrient supply in these rivers, rather than a due to larger species pool in the area.

Introduction: Treatment-limiting decisions (TLDs) can be inevitable severe traumatic brain injury (s-TBI) patients, but data on their use remain scarce. Research question: To investigate the prevalence, timing and considerations of TLDs in s-TBI patients. Material and methods: s-TBI patients between 2008 and 2017 were analysed retrospecively. Patient data, timing, location, involvement of proxies, and reasons for TLDs were collected. Baseline characteristics and in-hospital outcomes were compared between s-TBI patients with and without TLDs. Results: TLDs were reported in 117 of 270 s-TBI patients (43.3%) and 95.9% of deaths after s-TBI were preceded by a TLD. The majority of TLDs (68.4%) were categorized as withdrawal of therapy, of which withdrawal of organ-support in 64.1%. Neurosurgical intervention was withheld in 29.9%. The median time from admission to TLD was 2 days [IQR, 0-8] and 50.4% of TLDs were made within 3 days of admission. The main reason for a TLD was that the patients were perceived as unsalvageable (66.7%). Nearly all decisions were made multidisciplinary (99.1%) with proxies involvement (75.2%). The predicted mortality (CRASH-score) between patients with and without TLDs were 72.6 vs. 70.6%. The percentage of TLDs in s-TBI patients increased from 20.0% in 2008 to 42.9% in 2012 and 64.3% in 2017. Discussion and conclusion: TLDs occurred in almost half of s-TBI patients and were instituted more frequently over time. Half of TLDs were made within 3 days of admission in spite of baseline prognosis between groups being similar. Future research should address whether prognostic nihilism contributes to self-fulfilling prophecies.

BACKGROUND: Riboflavin is the precursor of several cofactors essential for normal physical and cognitive development, but only plants and some microorganisms can produce it. Humans thus rely on their dietary intake, which at a global level is mainly constituted by cereals (> 50%). Understanding the riboflavin biosynthesis players is key for advancing our knowledge on this essential pathway and can hold promise for biofortification strategies in major crop species. In some bacteria and in Arabidopsis, it is known that RibA1 is a bifunctional protein with distinct GTP cyclohydrolase II (GTPCHII) and 3,4-dihydroxy-2-butanone-4-phosphate synthase (DHBPS) domains. Arabidopsis harbors three RibA isoforms, but only one retained its bifunctionality. In rice, however, the identification and characterization of RibA has not yet been described. RESULTS: Through mathematical kinetic modeling, we identified RibA as the rate-limiting step of riboflavin pathway and by bioinformatic analysis we confirmed that rice RibA proteins carry both domains, DHBPS and GTPCHII. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that OsRibA isoforms 1 and 2 are similar to Arabidopsis bifunctional RibA1. Heterologous expression of OsRibA1 completely restored the growth of the rib3∆ yeast mutant, lacking DHBPS expression, while causing a 60% growth improvement of the rib1∆ mutant, lacking GTPCHII activity. Regarding OsRibA2, its heterologous expression fully complemented GTPCHII activity, and improved rib3∆ growth by 30%. In vitro activity assays confirmed that both OsRibA1 and OsRibA2 proteins carry GTPCHII/DHBPS activities, but that OsRibA1 has higher DHBPS activity. The overexpression of OsRibA1 in rice callus resulted in a 28% increase in riboflavin content. CONCLUSIONS: Our study elucidates the critical role of RibA in rice riboflavin biosynthesis pathway, establishing it as the rate-limiting step in the pathway. By identifying and characterizing OsRibA1 and OsRibA2, showcasing their GTPCHII and DHBPS activities, we have advanced the understanding of riboflavin biosynthesis in this staple crop. We further demonstrated that OsRibA1 overexpression in rice callus increases its riboflavin content, providing supporting information for bioengineering efforts.

BACKGROUND: Purtscher or Purtscher-like retinopathy is diagnosed by retinal hemorrhages and areas of retinal whitening on fundus examination, as well as a reduction in visual acuity due to microvascular occlusion of the precapillary retinal arterioles. We describe novel optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings of internal limiting membrane (ILM) separation and posterior hyperreflective dots in a case of Purtscher-like retinopathy in this report. METHODS: A 33-year-old man with acute pancreatitis and alcohol-induced liver disease presented to the retina department complaining of four days of painless vision loss in both eyes. Both eyes' anterior segment examination and intraocular pressure were normal. Dilated fundus examination of both eyes revealed confluent areas of retinal whitening, hemorrhages, and cotton-wool spots over the posterior pole, indicating Purtscher-like retinopathy. OCT scans through the macula revealed dense inner retinal reflectivity, thickening, and loss of retinal layer stratification, as well as outer retinal layer shadowing and islands of ILM separation, posterior vitreous hyperreflective dots, and minimal subfoveal fluid, all of which corresponded to areas of retinal whitening on fundus photographs. The patient was given a brief course of systemic steroids. RESULTS: On the tenth day after the presentation, visual acuity in the right eye had improved to 6/18 and finger counting at 1 m in the left eye. The retinal findings had faded. The retina had reverted to its normal thickness on the OCT scans, with minimal hyperreflectivity remaining. The ILM separation and posterior vitreous hyperreflective dots were no longer present. CONCLUSION: Following Purtscher or Purtscher-like retinopathy, we believe inflammation could play a major role in the development of these two novel OCT findings. This case offers an additional perspective on the underlying mechanisms responsible for the retinal manifestations observed in Purtscher or Purtscher-like retinopathy.

With the wide application of intense lasers, the protection of human eyes and detectors from laser damage is becoming more and more strict. In this paper, we study the nonlinear optical limiting (OL) properties of porous carbon with a super large specific surface area (2.9 × 103 m2/g) using the nanosecond Z-scan technique. Compared to the traditional OL material C60, the porous carbon material shows an excellent broadband limiting effect, and the limiting thresholds correspond to 0.11 J/cm2 for 532 nm and 0.25 J/cm2 for 1064 nm pulses, respectively. The nonlinear scattering experiments showed that the OL behavior was mainly attributed to the nonlinear scattering effect, which is caused by the rapid growth and expansion of bubbles in the dispersion induced by laser irradiation, and the scattered light distribution is consistent with the results of Mie's scattering. These results suggest that porous carbon materials are expected to be applied to the field of laser protection in the future to further protect the human eye and precision optical instruments.

Background: The BIO REACT study is designed to investigate the incremental value of Extravascular UltraSound (EVUS) added to conventional angiography, compared to conventional angiography only for the identification of Flow-Limiting Dissections (FLD) and to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the REsponse Adapted Combination Therapy (REACT) for the treatment of femoropopliteal lesions. Methods: The primary endpoints were the specificity and sensitivity of EVUS added to angiography for the detection of FLD. Secondary endpoints were primary patency of the REACT therapy within 12 months, fCD-TLR, freedom from MAE, major target limb amputations (mTLA) and survival rates within 24 months. Results: A total of 150 patients were included. EVUS added to angiography had an overall sensitivity of 29% and specificity of 93% for the detection of FLD. There was no PSVR cut-off offering a clinically acceptable trade-off between meaningful sensitivity and specificity values for the detection of FLD. At 12 months, treatment with the REACT resulted in primary patency and fCD-TLR of 81.6% and 94.3%, respectively. In addition, freedom from MAE was 94.3% at 12 months. At 24 months, the survival rate was 94.0%. No mTLA was reported up to the 24-month follow-up. Conclusions: The addition of DUS to angiography showed limited value for detecting FLD in femoropopliteal artery disease.

Continuous glucose monitoring is very important to daily blood glucose control in diabetic patients, but its accuracy is limited by the narrow linear range of the response of biosensor to the glucose concentration because of the oxygen starvation in tissue and the limited maximum conversion rate of glucose oxidase. In this work, a biocompatible diffusion limiting membrane based on two medical-grade polyurethanes is developed via blending modification to restrict the diffusion flux of glucose to match the oxygen concentration and the maximum conversion rate. The expansiveness of the linear range for the nanomaterials-modified electrode in the glucose biosensor can be achieved through the regulation of two polyurethanes, the solvent, and the thickness of the membrane. In addition, the mass transport of hydrogen peroxide and interfering substances is also limited of the membrane. The in vitro experiments demonstrated that the membrane-modified microneedle biosensor exhibited a rapid response to the concentration variation of glucose, a wide linear range that is sufficient to cover the blood concentration of healthy and diabetic people, the ability to resist the oxygen concentration fluctuation and interfering substances, good reproducibility and long-term stability. The custom wearable electrochemical system, possessing these characteristics, has been proven to accurately monitor the blood concentration in a living rat in real time. This demonstrates a significant potential for application in both daily and clinical blood glucose monitoring.

Pathogenic variants in SCN8A are associated with a broad phenotypic spectrum, including Self-Limiting Familial Infantile Epilepsy (SeLFIE), characterized by infancy-onset age-related seizures with normal development and cognition. Movement disorders, particularly paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia typically arising after puberty, may represent another core symptom. We present the case of a 1-year-old girl with a familial disposition to self-limiting focal seizures from the maternal side and early-onset orofacial movement disorders associated with SCN8A-SeLFIE. Brain MRI was normal. Genetic testing revealed a maternally inherited SCN8A variant [c.4447G > A; p.(Glu1483Lys)]. After the introduction of valproic acid, she promptly achieved seizure control as well as complete remission of strabismus and a significant decrease in episodes of tongue deviation. Family history, genetic findings, and epilepsy phenotype are consistent with SCN8A-SeLFIE. Movement disorders are an important part of the SCN8A phenotypic spectrum, and this case highlights the novel early-onset orofacial movement disorders associated with this condition. The episodes of tongue deviation and protrusion suggest focal oromandibular (lingual) dystonia. Additionally, while infantile strabismus or esophoria is a common finding in healthy individuals, our case raises the possibility of an ictal origin of the strabismus. This study underscores the importance of recognizing and addressing movement disorders in SCN8A-SeLFIE patients, particularly the rare early-onset orofacial manifestations. It adds to the growing body of knowledge regarding the diverse clinical presentations of SCN8A-associated disorders and suggests potential avenues for clinical management and further research.

Li-CO2 batteries facilitate renewable energy storage in a cost-effective, eco-friendly manner. However, an inadequate understanding of their reaction mechanism severely impedes their development. Here we outline recent mechanistic advances in the discharge processes of Li-CO2 batteries, particularly in terms of the theoretical aspect. First, the vital factors affecting the formation of discharge intermediates are highlighted, and a surface lithiation mechanism predominantly applicable to catalysts with weak CO2 adsorption is proposed. Subsequently, the modeling of the chemical potential of Li++e-, which is crucial for the evaluation of the theoretical limiting voltage, is detailed. Finally, challenges and future directions pertaining to the further development of Li-CO2 are discussed. In essence, this concept article seeks to inspire future experimental and theoretical studies in advancing the development of Li-CO2 electrochemical technology.

The acquisition of stable and high-areal-capacity S cathodes over 10 mA h cm-2 is a critical and indispensable step to realize the high energy density configuration. However, increasing the areal capacity of S cathodes often deteriorates the specific capacity and stability due to the aggravated dissolution of S and diffusion of solvable polysulfides in the thick electrode. Herein, the design of a freestanding composite cathode that leverages 3D covalent binding sites and chemical adsorption environment to offer dissolution-limiting and diffusion-blocking functions of S species is reported. By employing this architecture, the coin cell exhibits excellent cycling stability and an exceptional specific capacity of 1444.3 mA h g-1 (13 mA h cm-2 ), and the pouch cell configuration manifests a noteworthy areal capacity exceeding 11 mA h cm-2 . This performance is coupled with excellent flexibility, demonstrated through consecutive bending cycle tests, even at a sulfur loading of 9.00 mg cm-2 . This study lays the foundation for the development of flexible Li-S batteries with increased loading capacities and exceptional performance.
